Member Story: Kayla’s Auto Loan

Twenty-nine-year-old Kayla may only have been a Credit Union member for a year, but the Charlotte, North Carolina-based American Airlines flight attendant is looking forward to long-term relationship.

“I have full confidence that being a member of the Credit Union has its awards and benefits,” she said. “I can’t wait to see how being a member will help me financially in the long run.”

Those benefits have already begun, Kayla said, with a lower interest rate on her car loan.

“Interest can be a dark cloud sometimes, but the Credit Union definitely helped me get a low enough interest rate to pay off my loan in a shorter amount of time than I thought,” she said.

And she said the process to do so could not have been easier.

“When I applied for my car loan, it was so easy it was almost unbelievable,” Kayla said. “It was like they did most of the work for me, which in my personal case, I really appreciated since I already had a lot on my plate at the time. It really meant a lot to me that they were so organized and were ready to take care of things for me right away.”

Both of Kayla’s parents also work in the air transportation industry, so having a financial institution that understands the unique needs of people in her line of work is an important consideration.

“It’s unlike any other banking experience,” Kayla said. “It’s actually stress-free and the people I’ve come in contact with at my local branch have been really kind, helpful and professional.”
